End of the Line

“End of the Line: Building Bridges with Pittsburgh’s Busways” is a community based public artwork created by Lisa Link and Carolyn Speranza while fellows at the STUDIO for Creative Inquiry at Carnegie Mellon. The project was funded by a regional NEA grant with additional support from Allegheny County’s Port Authority and the Carnegie Libraries. The artists held workshops at neighborhood libraries, and four common themes surfaced from participants’ interviews, photographs and artwork: The Unsung Hero, Urban Removal, Rebuilding Our Neighborhoods and Community Gardening.
