Carolyn Speranza: bringing the age-old conflict between Man and Nature to contemporary art

“Literacy Windows” was commissioned by the Times Project, co-authored with Lisa Link and students from Manchester Craftsmen’s Guild, and funded by the Heinz Endowments. Critical support in completing the project came from the STUDIO for Creative Inquiry at Carnegie Mellon. Content for the 20′ x 30′ vinyl mural was based on interviews with teen and adult participants in literacy programs. The Pittsburgh Post Gazette featured the project on its pages.
